Socotran "lighter"
Socotra’s museum is worth visiting if for no other reason than to see how locals make a fire by friction. A trained Socotran man needs only two minutes to light a fire with just the right bit of twig, but not all Socotrans are skilled to do that...
You can buy this Socotran “lighter” in a honey shop located at the main street of Hadiboh. A set for fire obtaining is rather simple - two parts of soft and hard species of wood pivoting friction of which makes possible heat production and fire generation.
