Summer on Socotra. A trip to the north-east of the island

Monsoon wind, passing through Socotra, become stronger on the north coast.

The strongest wind is blowing in the north-east of the island.

We went to сape Erissel to show you this unusual time on Socotra.

In spite of the strong offshore wind, in many places you can swim and snorkeling.

To the south of the сape Erissel wind is much weaker. Here you can see the beautiful ocean waves.

In the central part of the island the wind is not so strong. In many places there is no wind at all.

Monsoon wind will end on Socotra in early September...

As far back as in Alexander of Maсedon’s times Socotra supplied a great deal of not only frankincense and myrrh, but also Dragon’s blood, which was rubbed in by gladiators before combats for quick wound healing.
